My Guilty Pleasure

Ok, so heerz the dill,
I recently started watching 'The Hills', due to constant peer pressure, to which I eventually gave into, because I didn't want to be left out of the cool club.  Oh and it gets worse, I LOVE IT.
I know, I know, but it entertains me so, whatcha gonna do???
SOOOOOOOOO,
All my bff's and I planned a 'Hills' season premiere party that was supposed to take place after our weekly basketball game.  Some of us got a little TOO excited, Bree, and decided to have a panic attack right in the middle of the game.  Such a drama queen.  Long story short, I basically single handedly saved her life, AND saved our after party.
Here we all are, sitting around Miss Bree, hoping that she has almost had her fill of attention and is ready to move on to the par-tae.
Finally Bree recovered from her bout of overexcitement, and we headed to 'The Hills' premiere.
Here's Katie and Julia putting the final touches on our DELISH pazookies.

Let the show begin!
Ugh!  I love snuggling my home girlz, watching Lauren and Heidi reunite, eating pazookies, listening to Bree try to convince us that this show is her real life, and listening to all of Spencer's idiotic lines.
'Hills' parties ROCK!!!

Just Showin' a Little Love

Go Bree!!!
Our good friend Bree had the awesome opportunity to speak in our stake conference.  We were all so excited for her and made sure to get there early so that we could sit in the front row and give her our best supportive smiles, with our only thought being to help her feel at ease with this overwhelming experience.  We even made her uplifting signs to show her our love and support.  Now, we didn't hold it up while she was talking, that would be just silly, and the stake president kept looking at us as if he suspected something, so we refrained until the end of conference.  Well, I might have flashed my sign at her once, but it was so fast, cause the S.P. turned his head, and I don't think she saw, so it doesn't count.  We also took these pictures in the chapel, which I'm pretty sure is walking the line of being struck by lightning or something.  At least we didn't take pictures of her walking to the pulpit, which was suggested by a certain someone who we'll just call, Freba.  Pretty sure I've mentioned her before in a past blog post.  Anyways, her talk was awesome!  She even mentioned me in it.  Well, she didn't actually say my name, and she kind of generalized the situation so as to not embarrass me, and she kind of didn't say anything that would make anyone ever think of me, but I knew it was about me.  I knew.
Way to go, Bree!

13 Years

Aaron and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on Monday.  I can't believe it's been 13 years.  Where does the time go???  I looked back at our wedding pictures and our newly married pictures and can't believe how young we were.  What were my parents thinking letting me get married so young??? (like they had a choice)  My girls better NEVER get any crazy ideas about getting married at 18 years old.  One good thing about starting our life together so young is that we definitely grew up together, and continue to.  We have been through so many things together, and have learned how to deal with life together.  I am more in love with my husband now, than I was when we first got married, and I was very in love when we first got married.  Our love has just grown. (I know, puke)  I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for knowing what was best for me and my children when he sent this wonderful man into my life.
I love you with all my heart, babe, and I look forward to spending eternity with you.
Happy Thirteenth Anniversary!
Ok, you can go puke from all the mushiness now......................

My Big Helper

There's nothing better than getting a little help with the dishes :)
Especially when it's from an adorable little naked baby.
Thanks for the help, baby!

Brian Regan

Woo Hoo!!!
Krista and I went to see Bryan Regan perform at the Dodge theater last night.
It was awesome!!!
So hilarious.  His brother opened for him, and was super funny too.
(What the heck is in that woman's ear behind us???  Is she a spy with a secret microphone in her ear??? Very intriguing.....)
So glad I got to go with my sista!  We had so much fun together.  I don't think I've laughed that hard ever.  The seats in the theater were so uncomfortable, so we spent most of the night practically sitting on each other in weird sideways positions to try to get comfortable.  So glad it was my sister, that would have been really awkward doing that with a stranger :)  Oh, and there was a fist fight that broke out and this guy had to be escorted out of the auditorium by security. Very entertaining.
All and all, the show was super duper, the company was fabuloso, and the night was one to remember.
Bryan Regan Rocks!!!
2+2=chicken
Ooookay, gotta go now.
Good luck with your hopes and dreams!!!!
Grab my hand, grab it!!!!

Lasik Rocks!!!

A few weeks ago I was reading my totally inspirational friend Staci's blog.  She said that she had just had lasik eye surgery and how much she loved it.  She also said she had called and worked out this super deal to get both eyes done and have all of her appointments and meds covered for only $1000!  Anyone who's ever had lasik eye surgery knows that is an awesome deal.  I was told my eyes would be around $3500, to get done.  I've wanted to have lasik eye surgery for so long and when I read her blog I was like, what am I waiting for???   So, I called Staci up and begged her to call the eye center and pretend she was me and work the same deal for me.  (I really didn't have to beg, she was so awesome and more than willing to help)  I knew if I called I would wimp out and pay whatever they told me I had to.   So, this last Monday, I went in with my $1000 and my designated driver, my mom, and zapped my eyes into shape.  It was seriously the scariest thing I have EVER done.  Before the surgery I kept asking for valium and they kept telling me it was no big deal and I really didn't need it.  I finally asked the dude that kept saying that to me if he had had lasik surgery and he told me no.  I then attacked him and beat him to a pulp.  After that I felt much better and wasn't so scared.  Oh, and I got my prescription of valium too.  The day after the surgery, I could see!!!  I can see SO great!  I can see details from far away!  This is so unbelievable.  I can even see colors more vivid.  I can't even tell you how happy I am I had lasik.  It was seriously the best thing I've ever done, well, except for marrying my husband and birthing my kiddos, and one other thing I won't discuss with you, but other than those things, it was seriously the best!!!  I love seeing!!!  Thank you so much Staci for helping me out and hooking me up!  You're the best!  Thank you Mommy for sitting at the eye center for about 4 hours waiting for me and then driving me home AND watching my kids for me afterwards.  You're the best, too!  Oh, and thank you Ben for watching Ava for me while I had the surgery.  I'm glad you were there for Ava, since apparently no one else in your home was paying attention.
Moral of the story:
 Lasik Rocks!!!

Girls Night!!

This time of year has come again and I am sooo excited for tonight!
Father and Sons campout is the greatest! I was talking to Gracie last night while I was singing her to sleep and asked her what is was that she wanted to do for our special Girls Night while the boys are gone.
She told me she really just wanted to stay home and play at home and maybe invite a friend or two over....Sooo then I got to thinking that instead of going out with MY friends like I ALWAYS do, I will let Gracie invite whoever she wants over and we will just party here at home with her friends. So if anyone has plans to go out and wanted to leave their little ones at home give me a call and I would LOVE to babysit them tonight. In fact Gracie gets out of school at 2:00 so ANYTIME after that would be great! Also don't worry about getting home early I can just hang out with them until they fall asleep. I am so excited and have been planning all the fun things that I can do with them while their mommies are out having a blast. It just feels so good to not be selfish for a night and just indulge my children(and yours) for a night. I can't wait!

My Sweet Little Pookie

I was just remembering the days when I could dress my little Pookie in whatever adorable outfit I picked out for the day.  One more reason why I like our school's uniforms.  No arguments.  Oh, and back in the day when I could do her hair in whatever cute hairdo I desired.
Well, those days are over.
This was my morning.
I insisted on putting messy buns and flowers in her hair for school.  All the while trying to convince her of how cute they would be when her hair was all done.
She. Didn't. Agree.
She then proceeded to throw the biggest tantrum ever to make sure I knew she didn't like them.
After warning her several times to stop her tantrum and finish getting ready for school,
I started to count..............
1............2............
I had no idea what I was going to do when I got to three,
3...................
So, as her punishment, I took out the camera and started taking pictures of her tantrum.
She loved it.  I told her I would stop taking pictures if she stopped her tantrum.
It worked.
When she got home today her hair was all down and she had the biggest smile on her face.
I asked her what happened to her hair and she whipped out this letter from the school saying the class was exposed to head lice and they had to do a head check.
I smiled at her and said, "I bet you were happy about that."
She, with the biggest smile she could muster up, said, "OH YA!!!" and ran off to play.
Whatever.
P.S.
She doesn't have head lice

Procrastination

Wow!  I will NEVER procrastinate again!
I am finally ALMOST done with my, STATE REPORT, COUNTRY REPORT, AND BOOK REPORT!
I worked on them for 4 hours straight yesterday, just trying to play catch up to what should have already been done.  My bad.
Hopefully tonight I can finish my reports so that tomorrow I can get working on the visual presentations that are also due this week.
Man, have I learned my lesson!  Procrastination sucks!
I can't wait for school to be out!  I seriously need a break!
