La Jolla Tide Pools

Steve and Erin came to vaca with us for a bit in Cali and Steve took us to the tide pools in La Jolla.  The kids loved it.  There were a ton of sea creatures for them to touch and explore.

Oh how she is loving this hug from her mother dear :)  Can't you tell by the painful look on her face.

Ava wanted to touch EVERYTHING.  She also wanted to get into all of the little pools and play.  She had lots of fun exploring with daddy.

Birch Aquarium

Birch Aquarium in San Diego was super fun!

There were lots of hands on exhibits that the kids really enjoyed.

Ava LOVED all of the wet and slimy sea creatures she got to touch.

The worst part of the day was when we lost Colton in a terrible shark accident :(

We're sure gonna miss that crazy little guy.

4th Of July!

Fourth of July in San Diego was Da Bomb!

The kids decorated their bikes and rode them in a parade :)

Ava and I cheered everyone on from the sidelines!

( Ok, Ava wasn't really cheering, it was mostly me )

Then we had the MOST delicious tacos ever!  If the salsa hadn't been flaming hot lava, to the point that I literally ended up losing feeling in my lips afterwards, they would have been even more enjoyable.

Then the band started playing and we definitely got jiggy wit it.

Gracie "invited" everyone to have a turn dancing with her ;)

Even Kylee busted a move with Gracie.

Of course Ava had to have a dance with Mommy and Daddy.

And how did we end the night..........

This fourth was probably one of the most memorable I've ever had.

My Girls

Yesterday my mom and the girls and I went to Balboa Park to spend the afternoon while the boys went deep sea fishing.  While we were there my mama took these adorable pictures of the girls.   It was a fun afternoon together.  Check out more cutie patootie pics here ;)
