Best Quotes of The Week!

Quote 1:
Krista and Gracie are playing a card game together.
Krista is winning.
Krista gives her evil mad scientist laugh and exclaims (very wickedly):
"It's like taking candy from a baby!!!  Ha ha ha!"
Tables turn.
Gracie's winning now.
Gracie repeats mad scientist laugh she just heard her Aunt do a few minutes earlier and exclaims:
"It's like taking candy from an adult!!!  Ha ha ha!"
Classic.

Quote 2:
Early morning and the kids are all getting ready for school.
Everyone's a wee bit cranky.  Including me.
Colton is going SO SLOW getting ready that it is literally causing me chest pains.
I'm starting to get after him for not do this and not doing that,
while I'm picking up his pajamas he threw on the floor, and making his lunch for school, and loading up his backpack for him, and filling up his water bottle, and signing his planner, and cleaning up his mess he just made for breakfast,
he looks at me so serious and says:
"You just don't appreciate all the things I do around here?!?"
Speechless.

Best Moment of The Week:
I'm at my kids school getting ready to teach dance.
Logan, my 12 year old, asks me if he can go home with a friend.  I say yes and he runs to catch up with his friend, who is already in the parking lot getting into his car.
Logan walks to the sidewalk where the principal happens to be standing and asks if he can go across the parking lot to catch his ride.
The principal looks both ways and reaches down and HOLDS LOGANS HAND and walks him across the parking lot all the way over to his friends car......holding hands.
I've never wanted a video camera so bad in all my life.
Priceless.

Parental Supervision

My boys are so great.  They just entertain themselves.  I hardly even know they're there most of the time.
Here's a typical day of my boys entertaining themselves:
Logan taught himself how to pop a side wheely (is that a real word???)

Then they got a better idea.....

The best part is.....that's the manure pile.
All that dust they're breathing in and coating their bodies in, well, you can figure it out.

Shocking.....I never saw that coming???

Colton's turn.
Notice the psycho, I've been WAY overstimulated, look on Colton's face.
That face always leads to something wonderful.

There's the ROCK ON sign.

Once again.......shocking?!?

Oh, I have a great idea, let's see how high we can jump the quad!

Logan wins!

Now being the great parent that I am, I had no idea this is what my boys had been doing on the quad until they came in for lunch smelling wonderful covered in "dust".  So I of course came out and took pictures of all the new tricks they had learned that day :)
Such sweet, mellow, self entertaining boys.
Gotta love 'em :)

Note the "dust" literally lining his lips and caked in his nostrils from breathing it in.
Mmmmmm, yummy!

Christmas Morning

It started with the best gift ever.......Aaron, who was scheduled to work Christmas day, told me when we woke up that he had the day off and would be home with us :)  Yippee!!!
Then we had to wake up little Miss Ava, who kept telling us to "top it" because she wasn't ready to wake up yet :)

The kids loved their gifts!

Ava was a little confused as to what was going on and why we were making such a big mess...

Anyone who knows Ava knows why this picture is so funny......she LOVES finding the perfect seat!
She is always making seats out of the funniest things.  Well, Christmas morning it was Logan's Christmas present :)

Merry Christmas to all!!!
