Summer Ride '08

Here's some more pic's from the ride.
(Don't ask me how I made these pic's into two seperate posts because I have no idea and I'm too tired to try and figure it out. I'm pretty sure that was a run on sentence.)

Posted by PicasaGracie insisted this year that she do her events ALL BY HERSELF. So Daddy watched from the side and Gracie showed us all what an excellent cowgirl she really is. Go Girl!!!

Cowboy Up!!!

This summer Aaron took the kids on our annual Sherriff Posse family week at Morman Lake. I stayed home since I had just had a our new little baby a few days earlier. Now don't freak out and judge Aaron for leaving me home alone with a newborn baby to fend for myself. I was pretty much to a point where I could crawl to the crib and get the baby all by myself. He also left me some bread and a little bit of water, so I was good. Anyways, the kids all participated in different events on the horses. Pole bending, barrel racing and roping, to name a few. Colton was riding his horse, Roxy, for the poles and she decided that she didn't really feel like being a good little horse. When the fam got home my Dad started to tell me, with a huge smile on his face and uncontrolable enthusiasm, about Roxy bucking with COLTON ON HER BACK. He so enthusiastically told me about how incredibly awesome Colton did at staying on her and he couldn't believe how high she had bucked with him.....until he looked up to see my, NOT SO AMUSED, look on my face. He then immediately changed the whole tone of the story to, man we rode Roxy hard after that. She learned her lesson. Whew, we're so grateful that Colton is o.k., I'm sure nothing like that will EVER happen again. LET'S HOPE NOT!!!! Here's a few photos of my cowboy ridin' his bucking bronco :) (Ya, that's right, they were taking pictures instead of trying to SAVE HIS LIFE)

Christian and Stephanie Nielson

For those of you who have not heard yet, my second cousin Christian and his wife Stephanie Nielson were in a private plane crash on Saturday, August 16th. The main pilot was killed but they both survived. They are both severely burned from the crash and Christian has a lower back fracture. Stephanie, or NieNie, is over 80% burned and Christian over 30% burned. The doctor said that they have a 60-70% chance of "walking out the door" with a lot of therapy and a year of intensive work and surgeries. They have four beautiful children and we all have faith that they will make it through this very traumatic time. It is truly a miracle that they survived through all of this. Heavenly Father definitely has a plan for them and they are truly choice spirits to go through this. Their treatments will cost millions. If anyone would like to donate, please click the button that says Donate to NieNie on the right. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Please keep them and their family in your thoughts and prayers.

Day at the Park

This was a super fun day at the park with friends. The sprinkler head broke off (I'm sure my boys had nothing to do with that) and the kids had fun trying to fix it.

Princess Ball

Our stake holds an annual Princess Ball every year and our Princess Gracie was escorted by her Prince Charming to the ball. Daddy said that Princess Gracie is quite the dancer!!! I think she might have worn out her Prince.

Our Newest Little Angel

Ava Lynn McMurdie This is our newest little princess! She is such a blessing to our family! My super talented girlfriend took these pic's of Ava for me. Her middle name, Lynn, is after her hot to trot Aunt Krista, but we like to call her 'little bean'! She's definately the cutest little angel ever!!!

Cherishing Every Moment

This is our last San Diego trip. Aaron's ALWAYS hugging me. He just can't get enough of me. We love our getaways! Wish they never ended!!!
