Happy Birthday To Me

I have this great idea (actually I stole it from a friend, shhhhhhh)
It's always fun to think about the 'good ol days', so for my birthday I would love it if everyone would leave a memory you have with me, as a comment. The more memories the better! I think this is a great birthday present to myself ;)
So excited!

What My Husband Does When I'm Not Home

Last night I went out to meet some girlfriends for dessert.  One of our friends is visiting from Utah and last night was her last night here.  It was lots of fun to see her again and to laugh and hang out.

When I came home that night, Aaron was watching Biggest Loser and was close to the end of it.  I decided to just go ahead and watch the end of it with him and go back and watch the first part later.

I sat on the couch next to him and grabbed the couch pillows and snuggled up to them.........
Me:  Ummmmm, honey, why are the couch pillows all wet????
Aaron:  What?????
Me:  Ya, they are all wet....... did the kids have water in here???
Aaron: -silence- (and a very strange look on his face)
Finally Aaron starts laughing and says:
This has been a very emotional night on the Biggest Loser, OK.

That right folks, my husband was sitting at home all alone on the couch, crying his little eyes out while watching the Biggest Loser.  I think I laughed so hard I might have even peed my pants.  The best part was how he kept trying to explain it to me:
Well, you'll understand later when you watch it.
I didn't have any tissues!
Danny just keeps pulling at my heart strings. (ok, those weren't his exact words, but close enough)

So, to all of those men out there who are closet criers when it comes to The Biggest Loser,
You're not alone..........you're not alone.

Living Green

This morning as my little angels left for school, I felt so proud of how 'green' they have made their lives.

I walked into the bathroom, and oh how sweet, they ONCE AGAIN didn't flush the toilet, you know, just trying to conserve water.......every flush counts. Mmmmm, I just want to squeeze them.

Oh, and after every meal they leave all of their food that apparently spills from their mouths as they eat, on the floor and on their kitchen chairs, to, you know, let it decompose so that we can use it on our garden later. Luckily they haven't brought in the worms to help out with that yet. But, I'm sure they will soon enough.........so sweet.

Even yesterday after a big arts and crafts project, they were sure to leave all the teeny tiny pieces of paper that they cut out, all over the floor and table, because they knew they could never make it all the way into the other room where the recycle garbage is located, and they wouldn't dare throw it into the real garbage. Sweet angels.

Oh, and one of my favorites is when they shove their dirty clothes into the little nooks and crannies of their bedroom, just so that we don't waste the water it would take to wash them. Talk about living green.

So, to my three environmentally friendly children, I'd like to say, thank you. Thank you for making the world a better place for future generations.
I can't wait until you get home from school today so I can just hug you and learn more from you.
The future looks bright.

Ava

Just some cute pics of Ava :)

Day at the park

I heard Ava calling my name and this is how I found her

Water day at Nana's

Ava LOVES Bear

Spaghetti night

First bubble bath.....she wasn't so sure what she thought of it :)

Ava and Daddy hanging out with the horses.
She loves to pet the horses, but sitting on them bare back, not so much.

This is such a fun time with Ava.  It's so fun to watch her personality take shape.
She entertains all of us and definitely keeps us on our toes.
Love you, Bean!
